craft cubed festival

Let’s hear it for the Craft Cubed Festival! Now in its ninth year, the festival brings together stacks of makers, thinkers and creative types for a whole month of cool events, including workshops, talks, open studios, online projects and special events. The festival is an opportunity for folks from all walks of life to connect with all the groovy craft and design projects that Craft Victoria make happen. This year’s theme? Homing Craft, inspired by makers’ sense of place identity and home.
Should you wish to get amongst it, you need only take a stroll past some shops in Melbourne’s CBD during August; stacks of retailers are displaying awesome crafty stuff in their windows as part of the Craft Cubed Window Walk Project. Pop over this-a-way to check out the map and plan a route. You might also like to check out the Craft Hatch Market, showcasing the works of new talented crafters, and/or the artists in residence at Craft’s Library Space.
