How to Bind a Quilt With the Blanket Stitch
Jazz up your next quilt binding with some decorative stitching. This tutorial from the Bernina blog We All Sew shows you how. Judging by the photos it is gorgeous!
The tutorial shows you how to do the blanket stitch for the binding. I also shows you how to take that blanket stitch up a notch by adding a different color floss to it. It really adds a special touch to a quilt.
This method can be used for any quilt, but it looks especially good on an art quilt. I usually finish my binding on the back of my quilts, but this is a really nice looking finish and I think I will be giving it a try.
