the crochet bagel bar
Nothing is quite as satisfying as a fresh, warm bagel topped with cream cheese – that is, aside from Kate Jenkins’ food-based art. While we don’t recommend biting into of the artist’s woolly designs, we do encourage you to enjoy them with your eyes. (If you’re wondering how Kate managed to create such realistic pieces of salmon and onion, you should know she’s been knitting and crocheting since the tender age of eight.)
Her latest work is a collaboration with London’s original Jewish deli, and is a joyful celebration of all the things you can sandwich between two slices of holey bread. Kate’s aim above all is to “make people smile” – and we reckon she’s certainly achieved that. Treat your peepers below or head to Kate’s website if you’d like to see more.
