3 Paper Pieced Butterfly Quilt Block Patterns
With three beautiful butterfly designs to choose from, these paper pieced patterns from Lillyella, would make a stunning quilt.
Each butterfly has its own character and is exquisitely pieced, with numerous sections that need to be completed. You do need to know how to do this method as the designs are not well suited for a beginner who is just learning paper piecing.
The downloadable pattern has all three designs and includes detailed instructions. It even has a coloring page so you can audition various color combinations. When finished each block measures 5 1/2″ square.
With these patterns you can make an entire quilt garden full of butterflies. You could also make one and use it as an accent block in a different pattern.
No matter how you use the blocks, these butterflies are gorgeous. An added perk is that they are perfect for scrap busting, especially for all of those smaller scraps some of us (I’m definitely guilty of this) can’t bear to throw out.
Start making your very own butterflies today.
