8 Star Themed Quilts
These quilting patterns are star themed as in a star cut finished design. All of these blocks are for free star patterns and each blog has it’s own tutorial to follow along. Most of these patterns are suitable for beginner quilters, but go ahead and take a look at each of them to find a pattern that not only looks like fun but works to your creative idea too. Personally, I love the red star block but you may want to try a more deconstructed star pattern for your quilt project. These patterns are all paper pieced constructed star tutorials.
Here are some fun Quilting facts:
Did you know that the World’s largest quilt is the AIDS Memorial quilt and weighs approximately 54 tonnes.
The first rotary cutter was invented in 1979 by Olfa for garment making and is still to this day one of the best quilting fabric cutters on the market.
In 2015 it was declared that the quilting industry in the United States was worth $3.7 billion per year.
The process of quilting first shows up in Egypt and Feudal clothing and the word quilting is derived from the latin word culcita meaning mattress.Â
Did you know the US postal service has featured Amish and Folk Art quilts on its stamps?
