Scrap Plaid Quilt – Free Pattern
It’s time for a mega scrap buster quilt pattern. This one is courtesy of Kitchen Table Quilting, and boy is it a beauty. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, I love scrap quilts. They are the ideal way to use up all of those smaller pieces of fabric I have left over from other projects. As soon as I saw this free pattern, I said to myself that it was going on my “to make” list.
It’s a fairly easy quilt to make and there are no triangles involved. That should make some people happy. You just need to pay attention to your light, medium, and dark fabrics. The value and the strip size variations are what give this quilt some added sparkle.
The pattern is free to download and the designer provides plenty of tips for fabric choices.
Am I the only quilter who is always looking for a way to use up my scraps? The pile gets bigger and bigger all the time. Well, here’s a great solution for that.
