Tulips and Pinwheels – Free Quilt Pattern
After a very long and cold winter, it’s finally time for spring. This “Tulip Time” wall hanging from Inspired by Fabric is just what we need to get us ready.
This darling design is easy to put together, using plenty of quarter yard cuts for the blossoms and pinwheels. A bit more fabric is needed for the leaves, stems and background. Other than that, you will only need basic quilting supplies.
There are a fair amount of half square triangles and other pieced areas, but don’t worry. This tutorial has plenty of step by step photos to help you through the process.
This design is a great way to show off some of your favorite fabrics and it’s a lovely way to brighten up a room. I have a lot of pinks and corals in my fabric stash, so I might just make one in those colors.
