How to Make a Scrap Patchwork Letter
Calling all scrap quilters! It’s time for another scrap busting project and this is definitely one of them! This tutorial by Sew Me Something Good shows you how to sew up the letter K with scrap fabrics. In addition, it has tips for sewing up any letter. You can spell out all sorts of things in quilts once you have the letters mastered.
The article has a diagram with the fabric layout. It is surprisingly simple and only requires some half square triangles and straight line stitching. You could easily change up the size of the square to make this larger or smaller.
I think this project would make a lovely gift for someone. Perhaps an initial pillow for a teen’s room or something like that. Whatever you decide to do, it will look lovely in all of the scrappy fabrics.
