Free Stair Step Men’s Cuddle Quilt in a Day Pattern
Don’t you just love this cuddly lap quilt? It was originally intended for a man and it was made to highlight a fabric line from a manufacturer. It is more masculine looking, but it can be for anyone. And like any quilt, the look can easily be changed with different fabrics.
This project is an easy one, and should only take about a day to assemble. You will need seven fabrics in varying measurements. To make it super cuddly, use fleece fabric like the designer did.
The finished quilt measures 54″ x 70″ and is made up of large rectangles. No special tools are needed, but if you are using fleece, you will want to keep that in mind when you sew on your machine. One tip here: If you do use fleece to make this, you will probably want to clean your machine out afterwards. It’s amazing how much lint can build up after one fleece project.
I just love this quilt. It’s the ideal lap quilt for a cold winter night. Since it doesn’t take much time to make, why not assemble a few of them as gifts. Another fun idea would be to make one for a college student. They always seem to want a blanket.
