get crafty with bonnie hislop’s painting kits
How bloody good is the arts and craft community? It can be easy to lapse into a doom and gloom mindset in times like these, but it’s thanks to creative folks that we can find a bit of escape and remind ourselves of the sunnier things in life. Ceramicist Bonnie Hislop, maker of super-colourful objects, is one such arty person giving us positive projects to keep dread and boredom at bay. She’s currently offering a bunch of ceramic-painting kits – including an Iced Vovo dish, pet earrings and a cat planter – that come with everything you need for a crafternoon. You can order a kit online – then, once you’ve finished painting, post or drop off your goods to Bonnie’s Brissie studio, where she’ll glaze and fire your final piece before sending it right back.
