Octagonal Table Topper – Free Quilt Pattern
For a great scrap busting table topper that shows off a signature block, try this pattern from Create with Claudia. It is easy to make and is a unique addition to any home décor.
To make one you need fabric scraps of all shapes and sizes as well as a center block which will measure 8″ when finished. The one used in the photo is called “Hattie’s Choice” and is an AccuQuilt die.
A crumb quilting method (which is demonstrated in the tutorial) is used to get the outer blocks that surround the center. Detailed instructions for cutting the octagonal shape are provided as well. Not only that, but there is a free downloadable pdf so you can save the project for later.
Dig through your scrap bins to make this striking table topper. It would look good on any shape table.
