Video Tutorial – 3 Fabulous Pieced Sashing Ideas
Missouri Star quilt Co is a fun place to work, and our staff is always eager to learn new techniques, techniques, and templates.
Every month, Jenny, Misty, and Natalie demonstrate their unique, personal takes on a block, method, or template. In this episode, you’ll see three adorable ways to spice up your quilts with decorative sashing.
Jenny demonstrates how to make her Half-Square Triangle Sashing using an enormous quantity of HSTs created using the Easy 16 technique. She squares them up using the Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer B and then arranges them into pinwheels, chevron, herringbone, flying geese, square-in-a-square, sawtooth, and many more!
Natalie demonstrates how to make her Hourglass Sashing using navy and white strip sets to create hourglasses. When they’re all stitched together, the sashing resembles arrows!
Misty demonstrates how to make her Diamond Sashed Squares using traditional Seminole piecing. When all the squares are sewn together, the sashing resembles arrows!
