Jelly Roll Quilt – Free Beginner Pattern
If you are looking for an easy beginner-level quilt pattern then this one from Melanie Ham is for you. It’s about as easy as it gets, so it’s ideal for first-time quilters.
We quilters usually have a jelly roll sitting around just waiting to be used. I know I see them in my local quilt shop, have grand ideas about what I am going to make with it, and then buy it. Unfortunately, after that, the roll goes into my pile of UFOs. I think I have three of them right now, just begging to be sewn into something lovely.
Well, this is a great pattern for that. It is a small quilt, but it would make a lovely baby, or child’s quilt. To make it you will need standard quilting supplies.
Melanie provides step by step instructions as well as a video tutorial. I think you will be surprised at how easy it is to make. You’ll probably be inspired to go out and buy a jelly roll to make one.
