Free Christmas Star Quilt Block Pattern
Rose over at Threadbare Creations designed this exquisite paper pieced Christmas Star Quilt Block and has been generous enough to publish it for free.
Paper piecing is one of those quilting techniques people either love or hate. No matter what you think of the method, you can achieve some pretty incredible looks with the it. Just look at the points in this star block. I know I’m not the only quilter who likes getting sharp and accurate points, and I’ve enjoyed making a couple of quilts using the technique.
This is not a difficult paper pieced pattern, and Rose provides you with everything you need. Made with six different sections, the star comes together nicely. In the tutorial you will find a downloadable pdf which gives step-by-step instructions and diagrams. There are patterns for 4 different sizes so you have plenty of design options. I can picture an entire Christmas themed quilt made up of these start in various sizes.
