Free Riley Blake Quilt Pattern
Julia Frazier over on the Riley Blake Designs blog brings us this lovely blue and white quilt pattern. It is an easy quilt to make, yet it looks quite striking, especially in the colors she used.
About the size of a large lap quilt, it can be put together in no time. Sometimes projects like that are nice to make. They seem to take the pressure off of making an intricate design.
Because it uses some 5 inch squares it is an ideal project for a charm pack that you may have on hand. In addition, because a simple border is used, the blue squares really pop and you can appreciate the fabrics more.
Blue and white is one of those classic color combinations that you can’t go wrong with. Of course, this would look lovely in other colors as well. I could see it in black and pink. That would give it an entirely different look.
