How to Make a Paper Pieced Feather Quilt Block
This post is for all of you folks who enjoy paper piecing. It’s a free tutorial on making a paper pieced feather and it is from Blossom Heart Quilts.
Not only does this quilt block have a nice crisp look to it, it also has a modern feel. Even better, it has a scrappy look too, and, if you read my posts here, you know I love a scrappy look.
The designer provides a free downloadable pdf pattern as well as detailed instructions on how to do foundation paper piecing. That is extremely helpful for those quilters who would like to try this method but may shy away from it because they have never tried it before.
I think a quilt made up of just these feathers would be lovely. I can just imagine what scraps I would use! How about you? Will you be giving this pretty block a try?
