Spiral Nova Free Quilt Pattern
If you are interested in making a stunning showstopper quilt, then check out this beauty from Storied Quilts. Even better, the pattern, entitled One Spiral Nova, is available for free. You can’t beat that!
The pattern is actually a traditional lone star, but it is the color placement that really sets this one apart. Just look how the designer used lights and darks to give the illusion of a spiral.
The tutorial features a chart to let you know how much fabric and how many strips to cut based on what size quilt you want to end up with. Additionally, there are plenty of photos and instructions to help keep you organized when assembling the top. There is a definite order to making this, so it is important to stay organized. Thankfully, the tutorial helps with that.
Quilt makers will definitely need to pay attention when putting this beauty together, and it is definitely not a pattern for a beginner. However, the result is gorgeous.
