Easter Bunny Paper Pieced Quilt Block
Doesn’t this sweet “Bonita Bunny” quilt block from Threadbare Creations just make you smile? Look at the sweet bow in her one ear. It’s just charming. I love that the designer, Rose, turned this paper pieced block into a mini quilt. Of course, you could easily make lots of Bonita Bunnies and turn them into an entire quilt.
Three sizes are provided for this block, 6″, 8″, and 10″ so there are plenty of options. All you need to do is pick out the pretty fabrics you want to use.
What really makes this block pop is the addition of the embellishments. The eyes are made out of buttons and there is a fabric bow too. To top it off, if you would rather have a “Benjamin” bunny, just move that bow from the ear to the bottom of the face. Presto, it’s a bow tie. What a fun block!
Mini quilts are a great way to make a fun pattern without taking too much time or using too much fabric. They are an easy way to decorate for the holidays because they don’t take up too much time.
